Bus Transfers To and From Huntsville International Airport

Huntsville, Alabama’s mode of public transit in the metro is a bus.

The Orbit Public Transit System is Huntsville’s bus system that operates Monday to Friday from 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM and every Saturday from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. The buses have nine routes traversing over 175 miles of Huntsville's streets every hour.

Every Friday evening, from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM, buses run through the University of Alabama in Huntsville, a campus route with main stops at Walmart, Supercenter, Target, and Bridge Street Town Center.

Travelers may purchase bus tickets at Huntsville Transit Station at 500-B Church Street, open Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

All public buses in Huntsville accept service animals.

Buses are also available in the ground transportation center of Huntsville International Airport.

Capital Motor Lines and Spirit Coach are bus companies that serve the airport.

The one-way bus fare in Huntsville is $1.00. A discounted fare of $0.50 for Senior and disabled citizens, Medicare/Medicaid cardholders with valid I.D., students with valid I.D., and children ages six and below.

Travelers may also purchase 20 One-Way Tickets for $18.00 and a monthly pass for $30.00.
